What started as a passion for speed, grew into the best known company name in the V-Twin high performance aftermarket. George Smith Sr. had to build his own parts to make his motorcycle faster. Now the company he founded manufactures the most prestigious line of "go fast" v-twin engine parts in the world. The company was started in the basement of his home in Blue Island IL in 1958, and moved to Viola, WI in 1969. In 2004 an additional facility was opened in LaCrosse, WI.

Tucker Rocky announces new ties to American Chopper
DALLAS — Tucker Rocky Distributing has started a relationship with a former key player of Orange County Choppers and the popular TV series “American Chopper.” Paul Teutul, Jr. appeared Saturday at Tucker Rocky’s Dealer Show and announced Tucker Rocky’s V-twin brand, Biker’s Choice, will be playing a part in Teutul’s first motorcycle build for the continuing American Chopper TV series. Teutul, Jr. is no longer working with his father or Orange County Choppers and has started his own company, Paul Jr. Designs. Teutul, in a press conference at the Tucker Rocky dealer show, said he hopes to work with Biker’s Choice in the future to build parts and accessories for the distributor. More immediately, his first bike for the TV series will feature parts and accessories from Biker’s Choice. The bike will be unveiled at Sturgis in August. “This is an exciting new adventure for Biker’s Choice and we are proud to have Paul Jr. and his team join the Biker’s Choice crew,” Johnson said. Paul Jr. Designs and American Chopper will begin airing Aug. 12 on TLC.

WSBK Season Ramping Up
Three days of official pre-season testing at the Algarve Circuit in Portugal from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 January will herald the start of the 2010 Superbike World Championship. The Portuguese track, the venue for the final round of the 2009 season three months ago, will once again be the location for the year's first World Superbike and World Supersport action as all the top teams and riders prepare for the coming season. A total of fourteen hours of testing for World Superbike and nine for World Supersport are scheduled on the programme, with action starting at 8.30 am and concluding at 4.40 pm on all three days. The full line-up of teams and riders will be communicated next week.
